Volunteers

Volunteers continue to be the life line of Bindu Roy Foundation as have been for over the last five decades.

All local volunteers are based in the heart of the community and range from housewives, to retired professionals, school teachers, doctors, accountants, government officials to new mothers and teenagers. They receive a formal induction, constant support and guidance to perform in their capacities and follow a structured reporting procedure so that any issues can be identified and addressed by the leadership team.

Local Volunteers
If you live in and around Mahishadal, Purba Medinipore, West Bengal, India, and would like to volunteer for Bindu Roy Foundation, please contact us.

International volunteers
The foundation also offers international volunteering opportunities including free accommodation and food for participants from all over the world. International volunteers should be 18 or over and be able to bear their own travel costs to and from Mahishadal, and also bear miscellaneous personal expenses while in India. International volunteers get an exciting and often ‘life-changing’ experience of working on the initiatives of the foundation from a fortnight up to eight weeks, whilst enjoying their stay in a historical town, sampling local culture, cuisine and festivals that dates back to centuries bygone. Please contact us to find out more about available volunteering opportunities for this year.
