The foundation combines its decades of experience, understanding of the local challenges and cultural sensitivities, and the essence of the times to evolve its strategies.
Despite having a leadership team, the foundation’s operational structure is quite flat and informal- the primary focus is always to fulfil the mission of the foundation.
The leadership team oversees the foundation’s efforts and works closely with the working committee to implement the initiatives of the foundation. The working committee is comprised of dedicated volunteers and notable family members of the Roy family and they meet regularly to discuss progress and trouble shoot problems identified in the process.
The foundation serves individuals, families and entire communities- both local and regional. Project managers are based in the heart of the rural communities that the foundation serves and are key in identifying the needs of potential beneficiaries. Some beneficiaries self refer, while others are selected through application processes and are always means-tested before being offered any assistance or support from the foundation. They receive support from the foundation through training, funding and mentoring schemes to ultimately help them achieve their socio-economic potential.
